A CHINESE EXPORT FAMILLE ROSE PORCELAIN SERVING TUREEN
Likely produced for the Indo-Persian market and of typical form, decorated in famille rose enamels and having gilt and polychromed floral motifs throughout, the central figural medallion at each side depicting a mounted warrior atop an elephant, each end with applied gilt painted foliate handles and surmounted by the conforming cover beneath the gilt painted artichoke form finial, the whole raised on an integral foot.
