Description
A Roman pale yellow-green mold-blown janiform head flask, 2nd - 3rd Century AD, the body with a facing female head on either side, hair stylized in thick ridges, the neck slightly constricted with inward folded rim. H: 2 ¾ in (7 cm). Intact, light deposits. cf. Yale 188-191 for similar examples. Ex UK private collection formed in the 1970s. Gifted to the present UK owner in 2012.
