With plinth. Hallmarked Alexander Clark & Co Ltd., Birmingham 1937. Height of cup including handles measures 7 1/2 inches (19 cm), weight 8.74 ozt (271.7 grams).
Condition
The cup displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Would benefit from a polish. Large dint and crease to the top of the foot so that the short stem leans slightly and it wobbles a little when in the standing position. Further minor dints. The hallmarks are clear and legible, some rubbing to maker's mark but still legible.
