A FEDERAL CARVED BIRCH LONG CASE CLOCK, BY ERASTUS TRACY, NORWICH, CONNECTICUT, LATE 18TH CENTURY, the arched rectangular bonnet with reticulated scrolling fretwork centering later brass spherical spires flanking a similar sphere surmounted by a spread-winged eagle, above an arched glazed door within disengaged colonettes, opening to a white painted dial with black Roman hour chapters and separate minute/second dials with each having cut steel handles, inscribed "E. Tracy Norwich," within gilt corner spandrels, over a long case body enclosing an arched and hinged door, on a conforming block form base with scrolling bracket feet.
