Description
A fine Maya jade pendant from the Highlands of Guatemala, ca. 250 – 600 AD. Depicts an individual wearing a complex headdress. It is double perforated at the sides of the headdress for suspension. It comes with a pair of 1” diameter disc beads from the same find. All have strong mineral deposits and show evidence of having been ritually burned in a sacrificial ceremony.
