1. The Narrative of the United States Expedition of the River Jordan and the Dead Sea. By W.F. Lynch. London: Richard Bentley, 1849. Study expedition of William Francis Lynch to Jordan and the Dead Sea. Accompanied by 28 plates - illustrations of views, sites and local figures - as well as two folded maps: map of the Jordan River (torn) and map of the Dead Sea.
William Francis Lynch, an American Navy officer, went in 1847 with a study expedition to Jordan and the Dead Sea. This was the first expedition that studied the southern part of the Dead Sea and Lynch was the first who drew an accurate and detailed map of the Dead Sea and Jordan. Study of Jerusalem. Accompanied by 20 illustrations and a folded panorama of Jerusalem. VIII, [2], 202,[18] pp + [21] plates. 26 cm.

"Underground Jerusalem" by Charles Warren, British officer of the Combat Engineering Forces. Warren was sent in 1867 to Eretz Israel by the British Fund for the Exploration of Eretz Israel and was one of the first archaeologists to study the country and mainly Jerusalem. The book is accompanied by nine plates (one plate is missing) - drawings, sketches and two photos (group photo of Ashkenazi Jews and a photo of Samaritans praying on Mount Gerizim). One folded plate - plan of the Temple Mount. XX, 559 pp + [9] plates (one missing plate), 22 cm.
4. The Late Dr. Charles Beke's Discoveries of Sinai in Arabia and of Midian. London: Trubner & Co, 1878. Expedition of Charles Beke - an expedition trying to discover the exact location of Mount Sinai. With 15 illustration plates, a plate with Beke’s portrait and a folded map (torn) of Egypt and Sinai. XVIII, [1], 606 pp + [16] plates + map. 25 cm.
