Description
Collection of photos and documents which belonged to Yossef Windman, in Waldstadt-Poking DPC, Germany, 1946-1948.
Collection includes: • two member-cards of exercise and sports unions and sports club of She'erit HaPleita in the American Zone in Germany (1947). • A "Teudat Gius Lesherut Ha-Am" - certificate issued by the enlistment committee of the Jewish Agency in Waldstadt-Poking, 1948. • Two postcards sent to Windman to "Kibbutz Mizrahi" in DPC Waldstadt-Poking. • About seventy photos (average size 10X6 cm, some are small "Passport Photos") of the above DPC and other camps (Feldafing, Landsberg, Bamberg), including some photos of couples getting married in the camp in Poking. It is possible that some of the photos were taken still during the war. • Two photos of Kibbutz "LaNegev", Germany (one titled on the reverse "prior to my voyage to Eretz Israel"). • Business card of a person whose address is in Buchenwald DPC. Attached: 16 photos taken after arrival in Eretz Israel, a leaf with the verses of the song "Bab el Wad" and a booklet of a savings account.
