A tartan taffeta gown with day and evening bodices, late 1840s-early 1850s. the evening bodice with short sleeves now attached to the skirt, the day bodice with shirring to waist and pagoda sleeves, bust approx 86cm, 34in; together with a chocolate brown damask day dress, early 1840s (3)

Condition

Tartan dress and extra bodice are both damp damaged and have damp spots generally overall, the skirt has been attached to the evening bodice and the skirt is missing fabric - it would have been fuller. Brown damask dress - stains and splits at underarms, one button loose at waist
