Description

Handsome English Regency Figured Mahogany Workbox, ca. 1815-1825, the brass-bound box with campaign-style handles, the cover engraved with a coat of arms, the fitted interior with velvet lining, the cylinder lock plate marked "Wells & Lambe", along with an impressed crown, h. 7-1/4", w. 15", d. 11".

Condition

There is a shrinkage crack that runs across the top just above the inset brass plate. Some surface scuffs to the top. Good patina to the brass. A very well made box, with excellent detail.
