This Giclée print was made in 2014 by Elvira Bach (born 1951) and depicts a woman hunkering on a chair. She is colored in black on a white and blue ground. The outlines are white. The woman is presented sca.ntily dressed, wearing high-heels and she looks towards the ceiling smoking a cigarette. Especially noticeable are her big hands and the red accentuation at some points of the print.

The work is signed on the lower right with ‘Bach’ as well as numbered on the lower left with ‘45/50’. This is edition 45 of 50. The print and the golden frame are in good condition. The overall dimensions, framed, are c. 80 x 60 cm .The sheet size is 61 x 43 cm.



Elvira Bach (born 1951)

Elvira Bach was born 1951 in Neuenhain, Germany. Belonging to the artist movement ‘Junge Wilde’, she is known for her colourful and expressive depictions of women. Bach studied at the Staatliche Glasfachschule Hadamar and the Hochschule der Künste in Berlin. In 1982 she participated at the Documenta VII. She works and lives in Berlin. (sku)
