Description
An inked manuscript document on vellum (18.5 x 15.5”) dated 1829, granting a tract of land totaling one hundred and fifty acres to surgeon John Pezvans, who served in the Virginia Line of the Continental Army during the Revolutionary War, being part of Military Warrant 2377, along Ohio Brush Creek in present day Adams County, Ohio. With blind stamp seal in lower left corner, and signed in ink by President Andrew Jackson and Commissioner of the General Land Office, George Grisham. Docketed on reverse. It is rare that these grants are in complete manuscript form, most are partially printed and this one is in a fine clear hand and with a bold Jackson signature 5” in length.
