Pre-Columbian, Southern Peru, Nazca culture, ca. 100 BCE - 300 CE. Stunning round-bottomed polychrome Nazca kero. Fabulous painted decoration composed in registers, two of which feature flying parrots painted in red, chocolate brown, and ochre on cream background. Exhibits the finest technique - incredibly slender walls and gracefully attenuated contours. ~7"T x 4-3/4"D at widest
