Pre-Columbian, Ecuador, Bahia culture, ca 300 BCE to 500 CE. A large and superb pottery "Venus" figure. Shown wearing skirt, multiple arm bands and elaborate necklace, with very large and ornate headdress. Breasts are prominent and characteristically, arms are outstretched with palms facing up. Face with fine fine detailing and very animated expression! Custom wooden stand. 12-1/4" H x 8"W x .
