Holl & Sohn is one of the leading organ builders and is often mentioned in one breath with Bacigalupo and Frati. From 1925, the company was situated in Berlin at the Petersburger Platz. Present here is a 38 barrel organ with eight pieces of music, composed by Marlene Dietrich, Hildegard Knef and others: ‘River Kwai Marsch’, ‘Berliner Luft’, ‘Du kannst nicht treu sein’, ‘Macky Messer’, ‘Es war in Schöneberg’, ‘In Rixdorf ist Musike’, ‘Unter’n Linden’, ‘Heimweh nach dem Kurfürstendamm’. The wooden case with marquetry, thread inserts, painted garlands of flowers, lakes and river landscapes, as well as the central opening providing a view of the 16 tin pipes are also particularly noteworthy.

The organ is in good working condition, showing typical wear marks and minor losses. The roll was added around 1960. The dimensions are 74 x 63.5 x 37 cm.
