Hermès
In 1837, Thierry Hermès opened his first shop in central Paris. Being trained a saddle maker, the first Hermès shop sold saddles and headgear for the horses. In the 1880s, Thierry’s son expanded the business to produce a range of leather bags and suitcases. By the 1920s, Hermès handbags had become the image of luxury. Today, Hermès is still a family run company, known across the globe for its high quality leather products.
