CYRUS WEST FIELD (1819 - 1892). American Businessman and Financier who, along with others, created the Atlantic Telegraph Company and Laid the First Transatlantic Telegraph Cable, across the Atlantic Ocean in 1858.
This is an original large, bold huge ink signature of “Cyrus Field” measuring 3.25” long upon a White Card, Crisp never folded Near Mint. Accompanied with a facsimile letter regarding the certification of a souvenir piece of the transatlantic cable (cable not present). The Autograph Card measures 3” x 5” with hidden prior mounting traces on the blank back, while the facsimile letter is 6” x 9” with some light folds. This is a nice pair of items that would frame up with pleasing eye appeal for display. (2 items)
