Henry Harrison Bingham (December 4, 1841 – March 22, 1912) was a Union Army officer in the American Civil War, who received the United States Military's highest award for valor, the Medal of Honor, for his actions at the Battle of the Wilderness.
Manufactured by C. Roby. W. Bingham was a captain of the Pennsylvania infantry killed on May 12th 1864. Beautiful presentation sword inscribed as follows; “Presented Liet. Major Vols. Henry Harrison Bingham for conspicuous gallantry Battle of the Wilderness.” The scabbard is brass with overlays and a silver hilt, US embossed hand guard. Unsharpened etched blade in Civil War US motif. Comes with all paperwork and a photograph of Bingham. Rare documented Civil War presentation sword.
