The match safe with chased repoussé mermaid to either side, monogrammed and dated JWR, 1878, May 27, 1903 to front, match strike to bottom; the match safe with repoussé floral border and Medusa mask to either side, monogrammed RFH to front, match strike to bottom; the match safe with repoussé dragon and serpent motif surrounding oval cartouche to either side, monogrammed EV to front, dated 1902 to verso, match strike to bottom.
Condition
Split seams to the match strike and lid of the Medusa mask safe, otherwise with pin dents and surface scratches commensurate with age and indicative of use.
