QUICKSILVER CYRKLE CONTINENTAL 1967 CONCERT POSTER Condition: NEAR MINT . Designer: Cannon Dimensions: 14.25x20 inches. Edition: SF Poster Company. Date: 1967 Original second printing concert poster for Quicksilver and The Cyrkle at Continental in Buffalo, NY in 1967. Artwork by Cannon. 14.25 x 20 inches. Printed by the SF Poster Company. The Cyrkle was a short-lived American rock and roll band active in the mid-1960s. The group charted two Top 40 hits, "Red Rubber Ball," and "Turn Down Day". They still receive significant airplay on oldies radio stations across the United States. They were originally a "frat rock" band called The Rhondells but were later discovered and managed by Brian Epstein, who was best known as manager of The Beatles. John Lennon told them they should change their name, and when they asked "to what".. John drew a CIRCLE on a napkin and handed it to them. Instead of using the correct spelling, they changed it up a bit.
