2nd millennium BC. A shallow lentoid-section narrow leaf-shaped slightly waisted Bronze Age blade with rounded tip, short tang, three holes to the blade and another to the tang for attachment of the hilt. See Branigan K. Aegean Metalwork of the Early and Middle Bronze Age, Oxford 1974, pl.8-9. 128 grams, 29.5cm (11 1/2"). Acquired on the London art market in the 1980s.
