Description
Greek Persia, Hellenistic Period, ca. 4th century BCE. A single bronze cast forming a small dagger with a griffin's head turned to one side; the guard curls out away from the blade, which tapers down to a broad point. A rare weapon from a very interesting cultural moment. The blade has been sharpened, implying that it was made to be used rather than just ritually. Comes with custom stand. Size: 9.2" L x 1.8" W (23.4 cm x 4.6 cm)
