Rare printing of a marriage manual, which comprised the second portion, with its own title-page without imprint or date, of "The Schoole of honest and virtuous lyfe” by Thomas Pritchard (STC 20397). The present work has been wrongly attributed to J[ohn] R[ogers] - it is in fact the second printing (under a new title) of Herman von Wied’s “a briefe and playne declartyon of the dewty of married folks” (STC 13208 – variously dated to 1553 or 1569). OCLC lists only two copies of the text (At the Huntington and the National Library of Australia), and ESTC adds copies at the Folger, the British Library, and Oxford.
