A lavender sapphire, diamond and pearl bar brooch, the oval cut pale lavender coloured sapphire collet set between trios of old round brilliant cut diamonds around 4mm pearls, on a narrow bar, in white on yellow precious metal, clasp with safety push; length of bar 5.8cm, of cluster 2.7cm

The lavender coloured stone is presumed to be a sapphire: the setting makes taking an RI reading extremely difficult, even remotely, but it seems to be at least 1.7; it is quite strongly pleochroic, has no fluorescence in either LW or SW UV, has a hardness of over 8.
