Two-piece screwed construction
Each foot marked with ‘PP’ to the underside
Oval base adorned with oak leafs and fitted with cantilevered architectural finials and four conical feet with decorative foliage and profiled friezes; channeled cornice with ornamental and stylized leaf decoration
Elaborate stand with acanthus and lancet leaves, shield with a scroll and a laurel wreath; urn-shaped funnel with festoons for the mounting of the chandelier arms
Six-armed chandelier top piece with sculpted volutes and acanthus leaves; sleeves with ornamental and floral decor, plain drip plates; central openwork shaft to which are attached two swans with raised heads, supporting the top with their beaks; decorative cone-shaped extinguisher for the candles

Two solemn bronze chandeliers with pompous decor
These two French bronze chandeliers impress not only by their size but also by their extremely rich and various decor. The chandeliers have a two-part and screwed structure and are designed in the Napoléon III style. The six-armed chandelier top piece is adorned in the center with two large swans and shows a décor of volutes and acanthus leaves. The solid base is fitted with oak, acanthus and lancet leaves and presents a sculpted décor with a shield, a scroll and a laurel wreath. This is an exceptional pair of chandelier, which emanates pomp and solemnity.
The chandeliers are in good condition, showing only minor wear consistent with age. The total height of each chandelier is 73.5 cm.
