An early 20th century gold seed and split pearl floral brooch. Designed as a series of seed and split pearl flowers, to the similarly-set foliate terminals. Length 4.1cms. Weight 4.1gms.

Overall condition good to fair. Surface scratches and discolouration in keeping with general wear. The seed pearl has a creamy-whitish colour with pink overtones, the split pearls are well matched for colour with a very slightly discoloured creamy colour and muted lustre. Without the aid of laboratory equipment, it has not been possible to determine if these cultured pearls are from a fresh or saltwater source.
