EDWARD, DUKE OF WINDSOR (1894-1972) King of the United Kingdom January - December 1936 & WALLIS, DUCHESS OF WINDSOR (1895-1986) Wife of Edward, Duke of Windsor. Bold blue fountain pen ink signatures by both Edward, Duke of Windsor ('Edward, Duke of Windsor') and Wallis, Duchess of Windsor ('Wallis Windsor') on an oblong 12mo piece featuring a blue monogram and crown at the head. Accompanied by a printed compliments slip and the original envelope post marked 16th September 1952. Together with an original unsigned 8.5 x 6.5 press photograph of the Duke and Wallis seated at a restaurant table during a cabaret performance, with a printed caption to the verso stating that the photograph was captured shortly before Edward came to the throne and is one of 'the only pictures of the kind of him and Mrs. Simpson together', further dated 10th December 1936. Also including a small folding printed card from the Duke and Duchess of Windsor, reciprocating friendly greetings for the New Year.
