John Eisenmann (Co. D, 133rd Regt. NY Volunteers) to his father, comprising: 1) Chain Bridge, Washington, July 25 and Harper's Ferry, July 30, 1864, 4 pp. 8vo, in pen and pencil, has returned from campaigning in the west, preparing to move on from current camp, the postscript describing the march out to Harper's Ferry; 2) Winchester, Va., Aug. 15, 1864, 4 pp., 8vo, pencil, with descriptions of the town and inhabitants' response to Northern soldiers; and 3) Bolivar Heights, Sept. 28, 1864, 4pp. 8vo., recounts guarding a supply train down to Winchester and taking back a contingent of prisoners to Point Lookout, searching for rebel guerrillas, comments on upcoming presidential election
