Album of 16 glossy silver gelatin prints, set in pockets of cardstock and plastic. On verso are the names of cast members and the hand stamp for Bob Gelby, 'Performance Photographer'. Images measure 12x17 cm (5x7"). (8vo), green calf with gilt lettering.

Gift inscription on front free endpaper, signed 'Don', possibly being the director of the play, Don Blackwell. The photographs show scenes from the first Broadway production of The Willow as I, with young Gregory Peck. The play opened at the Windsor Theatre in New York on December 10, 1942 and became a huge success.

Condition

Appears to be rebacked and with repairs to corners and edges; light wear to cardstock, some plastic sheets loose; very good.
