This aquatint-etching „L’agréable Négligé“ by the French artist Jean-François Janinet (1752-1814) has been done around 1780. It is printed after an original painting by the French artist Pierre-Antoine Baudouin (1723-1769). The depicted lady is highly elegant and dressed in a soft white dress, the name giving negligee. She is framed in a painted medallion, letting her appear even more dreamy.
The aquating etching „L’agréable Négligé“ by Jean-François Janinet (1752-1814) is in good condition. It is inscribed underneath the image with „Baudouin pinx“, „L’agréable Négligé“ and „Janinet sculp.“, as well as „Se vend à Paris chez Basan et Poignant Mds d’Estampes, rue et Hôtel Serpente“. The frame has been inscribed on the back with „Janinet, Jean-François 1752 Paris – 1814, Aquatinta- Radierung von mehreren Platten in Farben gedruckt. Nach Baudouin (um 1780) mit Einstichmarken“. The overall dimensions, framed, are: 37 x 31.5 cm.
