Terracotte relief of good provenance
The present relief fragment of a Pinax was manufactured between 490-460 BC in Greece. It originates from the Persephone Sanctuary in Lokroi and was originally attached to the walls of grave buildings. The relief depicted originally the abduction of Persephone by Hades. Here can be seen only the feet and a wheel of the chiton.
The fragment is in good condition, showing a small chip to the lower edge. The dimensions are 12.2 x 9.1 cm. (cko)
