Description
Scottish, Late 18th/Early 19th Century. Oak tall case clock with swan neck pediment bonnet over an arched dial with silvered Roman and Arabic chapter ring enclosing subsidiary seconds and date aperture, signed James Bonner enclosed by pierced gilt brass and mask spandrels, the twin train movement striking a bell, the hood with sound frets on the side carved as swimming waterfowl and cattails, the trunk with canted corners on square plinth with bracket feet. Approximate height 79.75", width 17.5", depth 10".
