The present George III silver bowl was manufactured ??in 1815 by Paul Storr in London. The bowl features a flattened, bulbous body with gadrooned ribbing décor, egg frieze and two ears handles with sculptured floral decoration. Along the center of the bowl runs a profiled ribbon. The inside shows a fire-gilding.
The bowl is hallmarked with the maker's mark ‘PS’, sterling standard mark, the London city mark, the duty mark, the date letter ‘U’ (1815) and the number 633 on the underside. It is in very good condition, showing light scratches from use to the underside. The overall height, with handles, is 8.5 cm, and the upper diameter is 10.3 cm. The total weight is about 367 grams.
