Rare Russian Antique Rhodonite and gilded silver Frame with Original oil painted on copper portrait of Tzar Nicolas II. Signed middle right. The oval portrait has original aged craquelure which is visible on pictures. The portrait mounted inside of double frame . Inside silver gilt frame with leaves and ribbon on top . Marked with Head mark twice. The Rhodonite mounted in outside oval silver gilt frame marked on the bottom with Br.Gr 88 hallmark and small Head mark. The back has oval wooden support with elegant silver leg . The silver leg hallmarked with Br.Grachevi , 88 with assayers mark and Kokoshnik head . Frame measures approx. 6 1/2" height x 5" widthx 1/2" depth. Portrait measures approx. 3 1/4" height x 2 1/2" width.
