This work in tempera on cardboard is executed in subdued dusky pink, violet and blue combined with black. The composition consist of curving and kinking color stripes. Jürgen Reipka (1936-2013) studied from 1960 to 1968 at the Art School and Bremen at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich, where he taught as a professor since 1973 and where he was president from 1976 to 1979. Reipkas work can be found in in several collections such as the Bayrischen Staatsgemäldesammlung.

The tempera is signed and dated in pencil lower right ‘Reipka 70’. In the upper right and in the lower left corner is a water-stain, the sheet is overall foxed. It measures 79.8 x 64.8 cm. (fea)
