Item Details
Description
Serial # 32316 Factory letter indicates that serial No. 32316 was shipped to B. Kittredge & Company, Cinn., Ohio on December 30, 1876 in a shipment of 50 guns chambered for the .45 long Colt cartridge, stocks and barrel length not listed. Not listed stocks and barrel would indicated 7-1/2" barrel and walnut stocks which would be standard for the time. Gun retains approximately 90% of the reapplied blue finish. It is smooth with sharp edges and deep factory stamps. It has all matching numbers, including cylinder. Early example with screw-in frame and donut ejector head. All proper parts. Lock-up is perfect. Strong clean bore. Nice early gun as is, or a perfect candidate for a professional restoration.
