1135-1154 AD. BMC type i variant. Obv: profile bust with sceptre before and chain of small annulets to neck with +S[ ] legend. Rev: voided cross moline and fleurs with [+ ]ON:AN[T] legend for the moneyer Sanson at Southampton. 0.51 grams. Found Pitt, Hampshire, 1987 (OS Grid Reference given in documentation); with photographic negatives, prints, slides, extract from BNJSFR and correspondence from/to Marian Archibald (British Museum").
