Description
Greece, from the colony of Campania, ca. 340 to 325 BCE. Squatty black-figure vessel in terracotta, shoulder decorated with owls in profile, head facing, on either side, scrolling vines; with plain arched handles. Â An extremely rare and handsome vessel! Â Size: 10"H. Â
Provenance: Â private NYC, NY collection, acquired at Sotheby's London, July 1989. Exhibited: The New York International Antiquarian Fine Art Fair, NY, November 2001.
