Description
CURVED RIB PANEL WITH RHIND SAFETY HANDLE KEROSENE FINGER LAMP, colorless, iron handle which surrounds the brass No. 1 collar and is attached by a metal rod through the font to an iron ring that fits into a recess in the base. Fitted with a period set-up comprising an appropriate Wallace & Sons "Surprise" No. 1 slip burner with extinguisher feature, each cover with "PAT JUNE 2-74", and a colorless slip chimney. Third quarter 19th century. 3" H to top of collar, 4" D base.

Condition
Lamp undamaged, underside iron ring with rust and some light pitting. Burner with some light denting to edge and one chimney prong detached, chimney undamaged.
