Sir Walter Raleigh's renowned unfinished world history, beginning with the Creation ending at the time of Roman ascendancy, written while he was imprisoned in the Tower of London. Complete with the "Mind of the Front." and the engraved title, and with all the maps. Increasingly rare in the first edition. Pforzheimer 820; STC 20637.

Condition
Margins tripped close at places, affecting some of the tables at rear; a few pages with old ink X's in the margins as a way of marking the text, some washing of the pages; very good, in fine and attractive modern binding.
