USS MISSOURI SURRENDER CEREMONY NOTABLES Lot of three signatures on a single quarto sheet: CHESTER W.NIMITZ (1885-1966) American admiral Commander in Chief of the U.S. Pacific Fleet during World War II and largely responsible for the successful ""island-hopping"" campaign against the Japanese ARTHUR W. RADFORD (1896-1967) American naval officer he headed a task group in attacks on Japanese forces throughout the South Pacific most notably at Okinawa Iwo Jima and Tarawa and JOHN W. REEVES JR. (1888-1967) Navy admiral Commander of the Alaskan Sector and key participant in the Battle of the Philippine Sea. The three signatures appear beneath a mounted photo showing them at surrender ceremonies held aboard the USS MISSOURI in Tokyo Bay. Framed fine condition.
