1817 Kentucky Document signed by Robert Bleakley [for Nicholas Miller, noted Indian fighter]. Written and signed by Robert Bleakley [for the noted Indian fighter, Nicholas Miller]. Bleakley signs again [lightly] on the verso where it says something about a $2 militia fine assessed by the court martial for 3rd Regt. Ky. Militia.Squire Larue and William Young were involved. See one of the scans here regarding Nicolas Miller. SQUIRE LaRUE [1785-1861] the only son of John LaRue, for whom LaRue County was named. He was a Lincoln neighbor who's son was born the day before Abraham Lincoln. His mother, Mary Brooks LaRue Enlow, was present at the birth of Squire LaRue's son, and she was very close to the Lincolns. Legend tells us that she walked the short distance to the Lincoln cabin and was ‚ " Granny-mother " at the birth of Abraham Lincoln. Squire LaRue served in the General Assembly of Kentucky and was also County Judge of Hardin County.
