This 19th century traditional Russian lacquer box is depicting the first Tsar and Grand Duke of entire Russia Mikhail Fedorovitch Romanov (rein 1613-1645) in an oval cartouche. The box is of rectangular form. On a dark lacquer ground is a pattern with red flowers and foliage.



The condition is good with expected crazing from age. There are tiny chips at the edges. On one of the long sides is a small loss of material. The dimensions are 6.5 x 8.3 x 12.8 cm. (tm)
