Rare place setting from the service of the last Tsar Nicholas II.
This three-piece table setting, made by the Imperial Porcelain Manufactory in Saint Petersburg dates back to the 1880/90s. It consists of a cake plate and a cup with saucer. The rare exemplars come from the service of the last Tsar, Nicholas II. All pieces show the Russian two-headed eagle with crown and the Moscow municipal coat of arms.
All pieces bear underneath the underglaze green manufacturer mark with the years ‘80’, ‘92’ and ‘1897’ below the monogram. The gilding of the rims is slightly rubbed and the saucer shows a fine craze underneath. Otherwise the setting is in very good condition. The cake plate measures 21.6 cm in diameter, the saucer 13.5 cm. The cup is about 6 cm high.
