Description
Egypt, New Kingdom, ca. 1558-1085 BCE. Mummiform, carved in banded alabaster, arms crossed holding hoes, hieroglyphic inscriptions on front and back within a vertical band. The inscription reads: "May there be illuminated the Osiris Iry-iry, true of voice " (front); "if I should be called at anytime to do work . . ." (back). Size: 7"H. Custom stand. Exceptionally rare example.
