Quarter-plate Ambrotype of two uniformed soldiers playing cards. Oval image size 3.5” x 2.5” within case frame 4.25” x 3.25” Ornate brass matte and frame details. There is some crazing and crackling along outside of central image, with flaking at the upper right that detracts little and with some darkening at the bottom edge. Interesting leisure time and unusual, quite rare gambling related, Card Playing theme Ambrotype.
