Description
An Edwardian 18ct gold opal and diamond ring. The three graduated oval opal cabochons, between rose-cut diamond double spacers, to the engraved sides and plain band. Hallmarks for Chester, 1908. Weight 4.4gms.
Condition
Overall condition good to fair. Surface scratches and discolouration in keeping with general wear. Band is off-round. The opals have a white body colour with good to fair play-of-colour showing a range of hues. All opals show abrasion one is chipped. Cut and setting of rose-cut diamonds prevents total carat weight estimation. The diamonds are fairly bright, lively and well matched. Small light and dark inclusions can be seen under magnification. Small nibbles and chips can be seen to the diamonds. Individual size and setting prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment. Approximate ring size V. Please see the Important Notices for Purchasers in our catalogue or on our website for coloured gemstones.
