This chair with ottoman was built by the designer trio Bär & Knell, who had the idea to create furniture and utensils from valuable plastic waste, not at least with an ecological thought behind it. At the same time the designs are also reflections of consumer behavior in our society.



The furniture is in very good condition and measures 74.5 x 55 x 60 cm.



Bär & Knell (founded in 1992)

Behind the name Bär & Knell stands a designer trio including Beate Bär, Gerhard Bär and Hartmut Knell, formed in 1992 with the goal to use high quality plastic material, or rather plastic waste differently than merely to dispose it. This is how various furniture and utensils were created that today are exhibited in public collections including the Victoria & Albert Museum in London, the State Museum of Applied Art in Munich or the Stedeljik Museum Amsterdam as well as the Vitra Design Museum.
