U.S. MODEL 1842 PERCUSSION PISTOL, .54 caliber, unmarked except for stamped "JH" to barrel opposite of lock, "H" to fore of trigger guard, and both "H" and "P" in separate locations to the brass sideplate. Second quarter 19th century. Barrel 8 1/2", 14" OA.

Provenance: From a West Virginia private collection.

Condition

Exterior surfaces in good condition overall, trigger and mechanism not currently functional.
