Item Details

Description

A continental white metal hot milk jug, probably Dutch, of bulbous form, decorated with panels of geometric and tapestry design, supported on lion mask and paw feet, to the similarly designed hinged lid, plain spout and rattan handle. Height measuring 5 1/2 inches (14 cm). Weight 5.57 ozt (173 grams).

Condition

The lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Minor dints and bumps. The handle appears to be replacement or fixed with repairs either end. Gilding to interior is bright. Marks to base, slightly worn.
