Description
A late Victorian 18ct gold ruby and split pearl three-stone ring. The replacement oval-shape ruby and split pearls, inset to the tapered band. Hallmarks for London, 1897. Weight 5.5gms.
Condition
Overall condition fair to good. Some surface wear in keeping with age and general wear. Replacement stones. Evidence of resizing. Ruby is within a closed-back setting. Moderate to dark pinkish-red. Surface reaching inclusions and fissures that somewhat affect the passage of light through the stone. Ruby in fair condition with some abrasion. Split pearls differ very slightly in hue, fairly good skins, fairly good lustre. Ring size N1/2. Please see Important Notices for Purchasers in our catalogue or on our website for coloured gemstones.
